Daryl has vast experience in triathlon & multi sport events both as an age group competitor and coaching a large number of individuals to achieve their goals in the sport.  

A Level 2 Triathlon Coach since 2005, he has considerable experience coaching athletes of all abilities, over all triathlon distances, from club to World Championship level.  The many achievements of athletes coached by Daryl are testament of his remarkable ability as a coach.

An age group triathlete since 1993, Daryl has wide event experience including ITU Age Group World Triathlon Championships (1999 Montreal, Canada; 2003 Queenstown, New Zealand; 2005 Honolulu, USA); 2000 Sabah International Triathlon;  2003 Ironman Australia; 2007 Bali International Triathlon; 2007 Ironman 70.3 Singapore; 2008 Ironman 70.3 Hawaii, 2008 Bali International Triathlon; 2008 OSIM Singapore International Triathlon; 2008 Ironman 70.3 Singapore; 2009 Ironman 70.3 Singapore, 2009 Bali International Triathlon,  2009 Ironman 70.3 Philippines & most recently an age group top 10 place at 2009 ITU Long Distance World Triathlon Championships, Perth.  Daryl is a 3 time Katherine Ultra Challenge silver medalist and 1 time bronze medal (the bronze came by way of a major mechanical mishap midway through the mtb leg) and has competed in Australian Duathlon, Olympic and Sprint Distance Championships as well as numerous Olympic Distance national selection races and various state championship events. 

Taking up coaching was a natural progression for Daryl and a way to give back to the sport that has given him so many rewarding experiences.

Scott Bevis

Scott has been practicing as a psychologist in the Northern Territory since 2002.  He has a strong interest in performance enhancement and is well versed in the management of performance anxiety, motivation & goal setting, pain management, mood management.  Scott’s practice is based in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and he also offers clinical hypnosis. 

 

Starting his tri career with the Darwin Triathlon Club in September 2005 he has successfully completed the NT Long Course event in 2006 and was an age group medallist in the 2007 Arafura Games.  Scott went long in 2008 and competed at Ironman Singapore 70.3 and Ironman Western Australia. He started 2009 with a good showing at Ironman 70.3 Geelong. Scott’s sporting foundations are in the sport of hockey.  He was a junior Australian squad member, NT Institute of Sport member and has competed extensively at age group and senior national championships, including three years playing in the Australian Hockey League.  Scott has also gained valuable exposure working with elite athletes in a coaching and performance development capacity.
